Jonghwa Joe Park
Practitioner
" I want to be a practitioner who treats not only pain in the body, but also pain in the mind"
About Me
It is written in an old Traditional Chinese Medicine book that there are three kinds of practitioners.
The first is a practitioner who treats disease by understanding the patient’s mind.
The second is a practitioner who treats disease by managing the patient’s diet.
The third is a practitioner who treats disease by prescribing herbal medicine.
When I first read this, I believed it would take a very long time to become a practitioner who heals by understanding the mind.
However, through my clinical experience, I’ve come to think that a practitioner who sincerely listens to a patient’s worries and anxieties is already practicing this kind of healing.
Even today, I remind myself that I want to be a practitioner who treats not only physical pain but also pain in the mind.
